Other providers offer paintball for children aged 8, 10, 12 or 14. We have chosen not to, because we want the playing experience to meet our standards.

We tested a version of paintball for under-18s, but it didn't meet our expectations. Paintballs need a certain amount of energy to travel effectively. With the power reduced for a child-friendly version, we found that the paintballs travelled very slowly over 5–10 metres and rarely burst on impact. For us, that takes away an essential part of the game.

Based on that experience, we don't recommend this version of paintball: we don't think it delivers the fun players expect.

Alternatives to Children's Paintball

We offer alternatives for younger visitors, including NRW's largest laser-tag playing field with the original spaceship theme. Our central Gelsenkirchen location is convenient for visitors from Essen, Herne, Recklinghausen, Dortmund and Bochum, even for an evening laser-tag outing.
